Fundraiser for the People of Cuba
This January, I am traveling to Cuba for the first time. I am going to travel around the entire island, from Santiago, Trinidad, Cienfuegos, and Matanzas to Havana.
I am excited to go to Cuba, but as an American traveler it is important to go with the recognition of who I am and the resources I have access to compared to people in other countries. I have heard before that the people of Cuba have limited access to basic needs, including toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. Below is a list of items that we are requesting for donation. I am going to pack an extra suitcase full of these items and share them with people there who can use them.
If you’d like to donate, please come out to our concert at Revolution Cafe on January 4th from 5:30-12 (more details below). If you can’t make it, reach out to me at localfreshvibes.com and if you’d like to donate I can meet up with you in person.
Supplies we need:
Tooth paste, mouthwash, floss
Kids/ adult tooth brushes
Hair scrunchies — a lot of them.
Feminine hygiene products
Vitamins — both adult and for kids
Reading glasses, sunglasses
Toys for kids (crayons, coloring books, yo-yos, anything really!)
Flip flops or Crocs
Bubba mugs (Insulated mugs)
Soap, shampoo, conditioner
(Thanks to TripCentral.com for the recommendations!)
