Dan Neville’s work as a composer, performer, and bandleader is made possible by the generous support of foundations, public arts agencies, and a community of individual backers. We are deeply grateful.
Dan Neville - Studies in Composition, Artistry and Rhythm
Dedicated to John Stites, the JSJA funds a year of mentorship with three masters in jazz and contemporary music: Samuel Torres, Ari Hoenig , and Stefon Harris. The study culminates in six mentor-attended rehearsals with the Dan Neville Nonet and the Dan Neville Big Band.
Chamber Music America Empowerment for Impact & Growth Grant
Funded by the Doris Duke Foundation, this grant supports the Dan Neville Nonet’s debut album and CD release concert in Spring 2027. The recording bridges contemporary jazz with the traditional music of Colombia’s Pacific Coast, featuring marimba de chonta and vibraphone alongside modern jazz instrumentation.
New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship
Dan Neville is a 2025 recipient of an NJSCA Fellowship in Composition, recognizing outstanding New Jersey artists and supporting his work as a composer and arranger.
Our sincere thanks to the individuals who have supported these projects through crowdfunding, including Tenerife, Cali to Cali, Xiomara Torres: La Voz Del Mar, and more.
Their commitment sustains this music and the communities it serves.
